Taite Prize finalists Hopetoun Brown are joined by arguably the finest trumpeter in the country, Carnivorous Plant Society band-leader Finn Scholes, for a deep session of stomping and parpin'. They'll work their way through a diverse repertoire rooted in blues and informed by loops and beats. Yet the entire show is played through a strange array of unusual instruments including tubas, bass clarinets, saxophones and a range of exotic keyboards.
We expect Scholes will haul along a wide variety of instruments from his curiously leafy Ponsonby bolt-hole. The night will consist two unmissable harmony drenched sets!! New material! Jazz journeys! Americana interludes! Perhaps a tune from the '80s!' Come party with us!!
