Auckland’s foremost institution of cutting-edge contemporary theatre, Silo Theatre, turns 20 this year. To celebrate, The Pantograph Punch is presenting a one-night-only celebration, featuring four off-the-record true stories of turning 20: tales of uninhibited confidence, curious exploration, and youthful disaster.
Hosted by comedian, actor and playwright Thomas Sainsbury (Shortland St, Pork Pie, Super City, Sunday Roast), 20 / 20 brings together Silo whanau Jason Te Kare (Eagle vs Shark, King Kong, Cellfish), Natalie Medlock (Shortland St, The Almighty Johnsons, Perplex), Jackie van Beek (What We Do in the Shadows, Eagle vs. Shark, 800 Words, Hudson & Halls Live!) and Stephen Lovatt (The Inland Road, The Rehearsal, Top of the Lake, Angels in America)) to recall that rare time when they were no longer a teenager, not yet an adult.
Unlike other Pantograph Punch events, this won’t be recorded, so expect raw, never-before-heard and never-to-be-repeated tales of youthful woe from some favourite Silo stars.
Limited tickets for this one-night-only event are $25 + BF. Bookings can be made online at qtheatre.co.nz/20-20 or by phoning the Q Theatre box office on 09 309 9771. This will sell out, so be quick.
