Aura presents Drive! A night dedicated to progressive house, the first of its kind downtown for years. And we've selected some of the best djs in the business to take you on this journey.

Rob Warner
Antix
DJ Risk

First up, Rob Warner. Having been spinning house music both in New Zealand and overseas for over 20 years, and dubbed by many The house music bible, there is nothing Rob doesnt know about house music. Rob was front and centre at the start of the progressive house movement in auckland in the late 90s/early 2000s, championed by massive brands like Global Underground and Renaissance. Rob has supported basically all the big name djs that came down to nz at the time, names like Danny Howells, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and Sasha to name a few. His knowledge of all things house music, as well as his technical ability make him the perfect candidate to kick off the night.

Antix are two brothers, studio partners and well seasoned producers, whose achievements to date encompass 4 albums, a worldwide international touring career and an endless array of heavyweight productions spread across their three monikers Antix, Fiord and Out of Sorts.
“The studio being our second home is our creative playground which gives us the confidence to work outside the square. Our sound tends to sway to the deeper emotional side with splashes of robotic funk and melancholic dance. The Fiord releases of late are hypnotic dance-floor monsters, we love to pack a punch and give people a thrill. That’s the advantage of having so many projects, it allows us to evolve in many directions”
Hailing from New Zealand with a musical background rich with influences from Ritchie Hawtin to Rhythm and Sound, Barton and Hayden have such a plethora of inspiration. It is indisputable that the quality of their music simply demands your attention, their sound deeply inspires producers the world over.
On their endless musical quest they continue to push new boundaries, mesmerizing audiences worldwide.
Check out their work, and you’ll hear why.

And last but not least, Drive resident Tom Day aka DJ Risk. No progressive house gig would be complete without the self proclaimed Progfather, having been a regular in the Auckland city progressive house scene for over 17 years. Having taken initial inspiration from djs such as John Digweed, Sasha and Nick Warren, Tom quickly formed his own style of progressive house. His energetic style and technical ability had resulted in him being a crowd favourite and he has played alongside heavyweights such as Nick Warren, James Holden and more recently Hernan Cattaneo. Tom is constantly pushing the genre forward, so be prepared for an epic journey to end the night.

All topped off in the cosy surroundings of Aura house club, so get on down for what will be a night of truly epic music.
