Kiwi troubadour Callum Gentleman is releasing a Killer and taking him on the road. The song and video for Callum’s new single Blue Collar Killer are out now, with an 11-date New Zealand tour with his band in September and October, after which he spends November touring Australia.
Callum and his band return to Le Café in Picton Sunday 8th October. The legendary Peter Schoni’s venue is one of Callum’s favourites, and he’s thrilled to bring his band here for the first time. He’s joined by Michelle Beck, a Golden Guitar Awards Finalist.
Michelle was brought up in rural Southland. When her teacher asked her to join the choir at age 6, it started a burning desire to be on stage singing songs. Her Nana entered her into the Country Music Club Talent Quest when she was 10. She won the Junior Section. She later won the Southland Up and Coming Musician of the Year Award 2013. Michelle's Debut EP Fight For Her was released in November 2015. The Title track reached #1 on the New Zealand Country iTunes Charts. The single Fight For Her was also the Southland Entertainment Awards APRA Song of the year in 2015. The third track on the EP You Should've Known won the same award at the 2016 show.
