Dunes with full band will perform at Backbeat in February to celebrate the release of their debut album. Dunes are a musical collaboration between New Zealand sisters, Jamie and Tessa McDell, creating a striking combo of alternative synth-pop, experimental beat production, all honed together by modern pop hooks. Having spent most of their formative years apart, the two sisters came together and spent the last two years writing an album's worth of material as they've got to know each other. The result is refreshingly honest, and relatable as much as it is autobiographical.
