Fraser Ross:
‘New Zealand’s best kept musical secret’
—Capital Times
‘His music, which has traditional folk roots, has a wonderful way of breaking free from genre’
—The Wireless
‘Like a Kiwi Billy Connolly’
—The View, Scotland
Eccentric-folk musician Fraser Ross returned to New Zealand in 2015 after two years of living and touring in Europe and the UK, mostly Scotland. On his return he toured his debut LP, Mongrels (Home Alone Music, 2015) throughout New Zealand, supporting such bands as Phoenix Foundation, French for Rabbits, The Nudge, Newtown Rocksteady and Glass Vaults.
His first two EPs, And Birds Do Sing (HAM, 2009) and To Places (HAM, 2012) established him as a serious talent and a brilliant, loud-shirted presence within the New Zealand underground.
Ross has played at numerous arts festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, LitCrawl Wellington, the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival, Wellington City Summer Sounds, and the Christchurch Nostalgia Festival.
In 2017, he did four tours of New Zealand with his newly formed band, Fraser Ross & 04s. Their sound is part Afro-beat, part British-folk, and part good-time 80's.
He is currently at work on his second album. 'Life is Magic, Where is my Rabbit'' which will be released in July, 2018 through Home Alone Music.

Jed Parsons:
He’s a familiar face and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has loaned his talents to many a band over the years. Now Jed Parsons is taking centre stage with his unique concoction of indie-pop, having appeared on stages including Auckland City Limits and Nostalgia Festival.
With his debut solo album on the horizon, the Christchurch-based artist has been revealing a taste of what’s to come, with his successful debut single ‘Get Lost’ and most recent single, Everybody’s Stupid - both of which debuted on Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist.
Parsons’ sound is a culmination of his rich and varied background as a touring musician, which has taken him around the world and into the studio with the likes of nomad, Pacific Heights and Mel Parsons.
His music balances eccentricity and energy with intimacy and musical sensitivity, maintaining a focus on catchy hooks and lyrical prowess.
