Innovative and blazingly upbeat bebop featuring Brad Kang
Guitar virtuoso Brad Kang joins saxophonist Frank Talbot's Quartet, along with the freshly back from New York bass player Hamish Smith, to present their innovative new material along with some of the group's favourites before the pair tours Europe.
Rooted in bebop vocabulary but with a strong taste for modern concepts, Frank has an energetic style that blends tradition and innovation and consistently wins over listeners.
Joined by local drummer Sam MacKenzie of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band and Mitch James fame, the quartet will be playing innovative original material alongside some of their favourite repertoire, including some blazing up-tempo bop.
