July 27th, Cityside church Mount Eden hosts a night of music so entertaining, so unashaming, so Dakota Fanning that you'll need to call your mother to collect you afterwards because you spilled popcorn all down your dress and can't possibly get in an uber in that kind of mess.
The night will kick off with the wonderful, Taco Joint, a metal come classical come jazz come good time band from Auckland. Followed by Miller Yule, an Auckland artists who broke into the NZ music scene with his acclaimed debut EP Shoot Me in the Heart.
With, finally, Daniel Armstrong & The Monsoons, playing a fraudulent blend of 50s rock'n'roll and grunge, Daniel will be singing about why he is still alive and how his band The Monsoons are trying to kill him. He willalso be releasing his first single on the same night. So if you'd ever wondered how Neil Sedaka or The Everely Brothers might have sounded if Kurt Cobain wrote their guitar parts come to this show.
There will be free popcorn.
