Nominees For The 2nd Annual Dirtbag Awards Revealed

The good folk from bFM's Dirtbag Radio are have lined up their 2nd Annual Dirtbag Awards For Bands That Aren't Shit. A highlight of the 2014 musical calendar, the event has been resurrected for 2015 with some amazing bird-flipping candle trophies up for grabs, as crafted by the talented Nick Rule.

The brainchild of the oft-hungover radio hosts Rapley, Sam and Tam, The Dirtbag Awards For Bands That Aren't Shit aim to celebrate contributors to the local music scene that may fall outside mainstream recognition. Though, as the trio point out: "This was something thrown together in a couple of drunken hours so if you don't see your band on the list or in a category it's nothing personal - we have the collective memory of a goldfish on Tramadol".

There is a Facebook survey up now for punters to vote for their favourites across categories such as Best Live Band, Best Local Underground Festival, Best South Side Of The Bombays and The Robin Williams Fallen Angel Award (aka best band that broke up).

The must-see awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 9th December at Whammy Bar with live performances by sere, Rackets, X-Ray Fiends and Dad Jokes.
