Caught Live: U.S. Girls - Island Song
U.S. Girls, aka Meg Remy, is bringing her intriguing brand of pop to Auckland next Monday for a special one-off show as part of an epic tour that will see Remy travelling through Australia, Asia, Europe and the States over the next few months. The lengthy jaunt comes on the heels of the release of her breakthrough sixth record, Half Free, which blazes with strong feministically-inclined "everywoman" songs like 'Damn That Valley'. 'Women's Work' and 'Sororal Feeling'.
In anticipation of her upcoming visit we unearthed this great clip of Remy performing 'Island Song', from her 2011 release U.S. Girls on Kraak, live at Haus der Berliner Festspiele last year. Check it out below...
U.S. Girls is performing this Monday 7th March at Whammy Bar in Auckland with support from Aldous Harding, head over here for more information and to buy tickets.
