Weekly Round Up: Friday 11th March

Some cool local tours were announced this week! We were delighted to reveal that Connan Mockasin is coming home for a special show with his buddies Liam Finn and Lawrence Arabia at the Crystal Palace Theatre in Auckland. Lontalius announced an Auckland release show for his highly-anticipated debut album I'll Forget 17. Country musician Will Wood and working class poet Tourettes announced an extensive nationwide tour together, kicking off at the end of the month. In international tour news, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are heading this way for two arena-sized shows in July. And parody glam rock outfit Steel Panther will be popping by the Powerstation in June.

In release news, there was also some great local stuff going on. Wellington's Orchestra Of Spheres revealed the lead single from their upcoming third album Brothers And Sisters Of The Black Lagoon. Also coming out of the capital city, Beastwars let rip with 'Black Days' the second single from their upcoming record. Auckland alt group The Beths shared a tune from their Warm Blood EP which is being celebrated tonight at Whammy. Pizza-loving punks Dad Jokes let loose their new cut 'Hopeless Vacation' from the upcoming EP of the same name. And ex-pat Ladyhawke has announced her new album and shared the first single. In international happenings, head over to the site to stream Iggy Pop's awesome new album Post Pop Depression before its official release!!!
