Recently unearthed demos from Sonic Youth are set to be released on 17th June as the Spinhead Sessions. The instrumental recordings were laid down at the Spinhead studio in Hollywood during rehearsals to score Ken Friedman’s crime drama Made In U.S.A. The rough sonic sketches created during these jams would end up being fleshed out for a full - and quite different - soundtrack (which the band would later release in 1995). But the Spinhead Sessions capture the band's with eerie yet melodic take on things right from the get-go. Take a listen to 'Theme With Noise' below...
