Friday 13th May, 2016 5:39PM

Some cool stuff popped up in this week's tour news. On the international front, we announced Slipknot's imminent arrival for one show in October. Henry Rollins added a Dunedin date to his upcoming spoken word tour. NYC rapper Cormega announced three shows celebrating the 15th anniversary of his debut album. Ska party animals Bad Manners are coming back downunder for an extensive run of dates. The Smith Street Band announced a string of shows for June. And legendary Australian musician and composer J.G. Thirlwell announced his first ever shows on these shores. In local news, Dunedin's gothtronica trio Elan Vital is hitting the road with Lady Lazer Light next month.

In release news, influential outfit The Stone Roses shared their first new material in more than 20 years  to somewhat mixed reviews. On the other hand, Radiohead emerged with a whole album of material, titled A Moon Shaped Pool, which is being generally well-received. And The Cure fans in New Orleans were treated to two new songs as they kicked off their epic tour - which will bring them to New Zealand very soon. Locally, Chelsea Jade dropped an awesome new song called 'Colour Sum'. Wellington trio Hex are streaming their long-awaited debut EP, Calling To The Universe. And hardcore act Master Blaster let loose breakneck cut 'Opinion Piece'.
