Written, produced and performed by Carter (piano / vocals / guitar / percussion), who is joined by Gary Sullivan (drums), Nick Roughan (bass), Tamasin Taylor (strings) and Richard Steele (sax), the song draws the listener in with a lush, rich and slightly uneasy aesthetic reminiscent of Bowie's swansong album Blackstar .
