Video: The Handsome Family - Gold

Husband and wife duo Rennie and Brett Sparks aka The Handsome Family have unveiled a gorgeous new video for 'Gold', a murder ballad lifted from their recently released 10th studio album Unseen. The pair, who hail from New Mexico, say the song explores the meanness of the American west - particularly their hometown of Albuquerque. Rennie explains further: "The sun sets for hours here and in that golden glow you can believe that good things are waiting for you around the next bend, over the next hill, past the next gas station. Keep driving. Keep shopping. Don’t think."

The video is a combination of public domain footage of a night rodeo in Gallup, New Mexico along with footage filmed by the couple shot with their iPhone out the window while driving up and down old Route 66. Watch below...
