Weekly Round Up: Friday 16th September

Friday 16th September, 2016 2:45PM

This week bought with it two big pieces of tour news. After a little hint-dropping it was revealed that Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be winging their way to New Zealand for two stadium-sized shows in February. Also this week, the line-up announcement dropped for next year's Laneway Festival, which will be getting cozy in its new Albert Park home. Some of our top picks on the bill are Refused, The Julie Ruin, Fazerdaze, Mick Jenkins, Tame Impala, The Chills, The Veils, Yukon Era and White Lung - head over here to check out the line-up.

On the release front, we had our socks knocked off by Kim Gordon who released the killer single 'Murdered Out' - which is the first ever released under her own name. Closer to home we got an excellent first taster from recently formed Wellington outfit Earth Tounge. And on album stream territory, we were stoked to be able to share the new full length record from Wilco, which is delightfully titled Schmilco. And we also spent a bit of time soaking up the goose-bump inducing record Skeleton Tree from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

This week's Caught Live is garage-rock shredder Ty Segall ripping out a version of Neil Young's 'Down By The River' at the Teragram Ballroom in downtown LA...
