Weekly Round Up: Friday 11th November

Friday 11th November, 2016 4:30PM

This week in tour news, mind-melting Wellington trio The All Seeing Hand announced the impending release of a new album along with a 12-date tour of the country. Toh Kay (aka Tomas Kalnoky of Catch-22 and Streetlight Manifesto) has lined up a special one-off show for Auckland next March. Solo artists Weyes Blood and Circuit Des Yeux are joining forces for two Auckland appearances in the new year. Philly outfit Sheer Mag are making their way here for two shows next month.  Seminal Flying Nun outfit The Verlaines have lined up two headlines performances for December. And in festival news, Hamilton Underground Press have revealed details for the first ever Future City festival.

In release news, The xx finally let loose news of their long-awaited third album, and served up a Hall & Oates-sampling single called 'On Hold'. Prolific San Fran outfit Thee Oh Sees shared an early stream of their album An Odd Entrances, which is slated for release later in the month. Hot on the heels of announcing their album and tour, The All Seeing Hand also shared a deeply unsettling video for new single 'Cro-Magnon Corp'. Mysterious new Auckland outfit Cindy surfaced with an awesome slice of lo-fi pop called 'Slo' Burnin''. And we premiered the gorgeous single from Dunedin producer and composer, Gulls, who will be releasing his debut EP next month.

This week's Caught Live is grunge supergroup Temple Of The Dog, who have reformed for a 25th anniversary tour, working through a cover of Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs' at the Tower Theatre in Pennsylvania...
