Stream Tinariwen's New Album 'Elwan' (+ Video For 'Sastanàqqàm')

Politically-driven desert blues group Tinariwen have unveiled their striking new record Elwan along with a brand new video for album single 'Sastanàqqàm'. The album, which is the Tuareg band's seventh studio offering, was recorded across three seperate locations around the globe due to their nomadic nature, which is symptomatic of their constant touring and the toxic political environment in their home community of northern Mali.

Tracked in the suburbs of Paris, a studio in Joshua Tree, California, and a southern Moroccan town, Elwan also sees the band joined by several guests including Kurt Vile and Mark Lanegan. Watch the video for Sastanàqqàm', and then stream the whole record below...
