Stream Crystal Fairy’s Self-Titled Debut Album

It’s not every day a band featuring members of some of the alternative world’s most influential artists drops their debut album. Today is one of these rare days. Alt-rock supergroup Crystal Fairy have let loose a stream of their self-titled record ahead of the official release on Friday via Ipecac Recordings. 

As you may be aware by now, the band brings together Buzz Osbourne and Dale Crover of the Melvins, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of At The Drive In, and Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes - who collectively have been gaining traction as Crystal Fairy over the last few months by releasing a slew of killer singles such as ‘Drugs on the Bus’, ‘Chisler’ and eponymous cut ‘Crystal Fairy’.

The album features trademark low-tuned Melvins-esque grooves with subtle lead guitar lines trading off with occasional distant noise explosions. The aural quarry is topped off by impressive impish vocals which oscillate between smoky and sensual to almost operatic at times. Take a pickaxe to the musical mine below…
