Kendrick Lamar Drops Antagonistic Video For 'DNA' Starring Don Cheadle

As hip hop heavyweight Kendrick Lamar reinstates himself as grand champion of the genre with his new album DAMN and a stage thumping set at Coachella this past weekend, he continues to address racial inequality through his art. The Compton MC has shared a video for 'DNA', a track which samples Fox news personality Geraldo Riviera touting the bizarre sentiment that “hip hop has done more damage to young African Americans then racism".

The Nabil-directed video stars Don Cheadle, who you may recognise as the superhero War Machine from the Marvel Comics universe, playing an irate police officer who appears to be brainwashed by Lamar’s presence and entirely disarmed by his lyrical bars. Once liberated from his handcuffs Kendrick is seen in a casket and throwing dice with his homies. Check it out below…
