Dave Lombardo + Mike Patton's Dead Cross Drop Frenzied Single 'Seizure and Desist'

Dave Lombardo + Mike Patton's Dead Cross Drop Frenzied Single 'Seizure and Desist'

Wednesday 21st June, 2017 10:30AM
Former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has emerged with a new California-based quartet called Dead Cross, which features supergroup aficionado Mike Patton (of Faith No More, NevermenMr Bungle, Fantomas, et al), as well as Justin Pearson of The Locust and Retox and Michael Crain of Festival of Dead Deer.

Their new cut ‘Seizure and Desist’ follows in a similar vein as superb first single 'Grave Slaves’, with a breakneck drumbeat, striking vocal delivery and various fuzz tones and electrical noises – the latter of which likely being a nod to Pearson’s work in The Locust. The single is accompanied by a chilling animated video which depicts plague doctors enacting acts of medieval torture, mind-numbing social media usage and Donald Trump holding a flag which reads ‘oil’, dancing in front of a city in the throes of a bombing. Check it out below (warning: graphic imagery)...

Dead Cross’ debut LP is out 4th August via Ipecac
