In tour news, we kicked off the week with the announcement that Sydney trio DMA's are returning to these shores for two headline shows in October. UK rockers Royal Blood are heading back for two dates off the back of their chart-topping new record How Did We get So Dark?. Dream pop five-piece French For Rabbits announced a string of New Zealand dates before they hop the ditch for a Aussie tour. Wellington pop punk crew Mishap have lined up a seven-stop tour in support of their new single 'Hey, Allie!'. And Kane Strang announced his first nationwide tour since the release of his stellar sophomore album Two Hearts And No Brain.

In release highlights, Mermaidens let loose 'Sunstone', the latest single from their highly-anticipated sophomore album Perfect Body. The Pleasure Majenta spilled forth with incredible new cut 'Fell' with a disturbing black-and-white video. Dunedin artist Repulsive Woman (aka Mille Lovelock of Astro Children) unveiled her debut single 'Relief'. Wax Chattels shared their scorching new track 'It' along with word that an album is on the way. Auckland born rock 'n' rollers The Situations premiered Clash-esque tune 'Island Fever' from their upcoming 7-inch release. Christchurch alt trio Fran (aka Bar Group) lifted the lid off their debut EP for streaming. From further abroad, Canadian punk legends Propaghandi announced their first album in five years and shared lead single 'Victory Lap'.  And polarising dream pop artist Lana Del Rey released her new record Lust For Life.
