King Khan Announces Debut Solo Album + Shares 'It's A Lie'
Monarch of modern garage rock King Khan has announced his first ever solo record and shared the lead single 'It's A Lie'. Having knocked out albums with The King Khan & BBQ Show and King Khan & The Shrines among others, the upcoming release entitled Murder Burger will be the first official solo outing from the Canadian musician.
The 10-track record sees Khan joined by The Gris Gris as his backing band and was produced by Greg Ashley at his Creamery Studio in California - which no longer exists in the wake of the gentrification of Oakland. In a statement Khan said of cooking up the record: "It was a bitch slappin’ good time and a tribute to how much love I have for Oakland, and especially to all the good times we had at the Ghost town gallery and eating Big Poppa’s burgers. Oakland may never be the same, but it will always be in my heart!”.
The album is out 13th October via Khannibalism, in the meantime soak up 'It's A Lie' below...
