The Shifting Sands Unveil Endearing Single 'Run' + Video

Dunedin psych-pop crew The Shifting Sands have dropped a fresh cut with accompanying outlandish visuals, titled ‘Run’. The tune was recorded in Los Angeles by Manny Nieto and references the vocal tones of 90s alt rock with a nod to Flying Nun artists such as The Verlaines.

The visual side of things was directed and edited by Phoebe Lysbeth Kay and combines archive footage with contemplative shots of the band (and their pal Maize the dog) on a dreary South Island beach with a slew of visual effects adding a sense of surrealism. Check it out below…
