Best Bests Drop Searing Tune 'April's Fool'

Best Bests Drop Searing Tune 'April's Fool'

Friday 9th February, 2018 9:57AM

Rangiora four-piece Best Bets have shared a catchy single titled 'April's Fool', taken from their forthcoming four-song Life Under The Big Top EP which is set to drop next week. The tune is a zippy slice of energetic power-pop, catchy hooks blast out like bullets, accompanied by plaintive vocals and wistful lyrics. Best Bets will be celebrating the EP's release this month, with an Auckland show lined up alongside The Situations and Will Saunders, and a support slot for local garage punk legends The D4 at Christchuch's Space Academy. Read singer James Harding's thoughts about the new tune below, check out our recent chat with the band, and wrap your ears around 'April's Fool'...

"This song is largely about the absurdity of life as we know it. We like to think of it as searing and soaring emotional power pop that invokes the feeling of timeless cinema from the 1980s."

You can catch Best Bets playing at Auckland's Golden Dawn Tavern on Friday 16th February.
