Parquet Courts Unveil Video 'Almost Had To Start A Fight / In And Out Of Patience'

Friday 23rd February, 2018 10:09AM

NYC's Parquet Courts have shared the lead single from their upcoming new album Wide Awake!, the band's first long-player since 2016's Human Performance. A song of two halves, 'Almost Had To Start A Fight / In And Out Of Patience' starts with spiky yelps before segueing into streamlined catchy post-punk territory. The tune is accompanied by a stylish cartoony clip designed by singer A. Savage, who has also recently dropped a solo album, and surprisingly features Danger Mouse (of Gnarls Barkley) on production duties. Feast your eyes and ears on 'Almost Had To Start A Fight / In And Out Of Patience' below, and check out our interview with the band about their recent visit to New Zealand here.

'Wide Awake!' is out Friday 18th May via Rough Trade Records / Rhythmethod.
