Beach Pigs members Dahnu Graham and Suren Unka have teamed up for new project Madly, which brings together Graham's melodic vocals and Unka's skilful piano-driven dance production. The Auckland duo's debut single is accompanied by a dramatic clip by director Eddy Fifield, showing a reflective Graham ruminating in darkened rooms and on the run from the law. Madly have a debut EP lined up for release later this year, we caught up with Graham who lifted the lid on the project...

"The song was never written about or for some one. I have a hard time with paranoia and I guess this song is about that relationship, whether we would ever reach a 'Cloud Nine' at peace place with each-other. Which is why I really wanted this dark, intense music video. I really have to thank Eddie Fifield, Žiga Zupančič, Alex Matthews, Jimy Best and the whole crew for bring it to life... a perfect metaphor.

This project has been real fun to make. I've never worked in this genre before but always been buzzed by it. Me and Suren Unka are good mates and I respect his craft and trust his intuition with an idea. We work together real well and so I'm looking forward to this year and releasing more dope singles!"

'Cloud Nine' is out now via Spotify and Apple Music.
