Grouper Announces Album 'Grid of Points' + Shares Single 'Parking Lot'

Oregon-based sound explorer Grouper (Liz Harris) has announced a new album Grid of Points due this April, and unveiled that record's lead single 'Parking Lot'. While she's released a smattering of material over the years, the upcoming record will be the artist's first long-player since 2014's Ruins. "I wrote these songs over a week and a half," Harris shared in a statement. "They stopped abruptly when I was interrupted by a high fever, though brief, it is complete. The intimacy and abbreviation of this music allude to an essence that the songs lyrics speak more directly of. The space left after matter has departed, a stage after the characters have gone, the hollow of some central column, missing.”

'Grid of Points' is out Friday 27th April via Kranky.
