Kim Gordon of trailblazing US noise-rock group Sonic Youth has unveiled the latest album from Body / Head, her ongoing collaborative project with guitarist Bill Nace (X.O.4, Vampire Belt, Ceylon Mange). Their new collection The Switch features five tracks of zoned-out, double axe experimentation, embellished by Gordon's instantly identifiable vocal crackle. Semi-improvised song structures guide listeners down aural pathways encompassing extended drones, swarming distorted strings and mind-bending guitar skronk action.
