Legendary Christchurch guitar adventurer Roy Montgomery (The Pin Group, Dadamah and Dissolve) has unveiled his latest collection Suffuse, pairing the artist's otherworldly instrumentation with vocal contributions from special guests including Grouper's Liz Harris and local sibling duo Purple Pilgrims. The creative frisson and musical diversity expressed on these collaborations gives forth possibly the guitarist's most accessible offering yet, Katie Von Schleicher's spine-tingling vocals on 'Outsider Love Ballad No 1' create a heavenly slice of dream-pop, while Montgomery's track with Julianna Barwick 'Sigma Octanis' radiates crisp mystical energy.
