Album Preview: Liars - WIXIW
Liars released critically acclaimed album Sisterworld back in 2010 and have now returned with WIXIW (pronounced, 'Wish You'). The album is an insulated, reflective record: Angus Andrew and guitarist Aaron Hemphill re-located to a tiny cabin in the middle of nowhere to write and record it. Relying heavily on electronic technology, the pair created a restrained set of tracks that together are pretty representative of their career to date - there are some hilarious / exceptional early 2000's Gate Crasher elements in there too.
