Here's Five: Favourite Songs From Weezer's Rivers Cuomo
As announced last month, Weezer are heading our way in the new year for one Auckland show where they will perform their 'Blue' album in full along with other classics. In anticipation of the tour we asked frontman Rivers Cuomo to share with us five tracks that were particularly influential on him growing up. Clearly so obvious to him that he didn't bother providing an explanation, they did come as a bit of surprise to us. Here they are in the order submitted...
KISS - 'I Want You' (live 1977)
Metallica - 'Battery'(live 2004)
Nirvana - 'Silver'
Pixies - 'Gigantic' (live 1988)
The Velvet Underground & Nico - Femme Fatal (track only - great live video HERE)

Here's Five is a new listing feature you'll see popping up more and more on UTR where we'll investigate a topic/genre/band through tracks and videos - viva la LIST!
