Weekly Round-Up: Friday 16th November

Friday 16th November, 2012 1:33PM

Yep the tour announces just keep rolling in with four more exciting acts announced to be heading our way. The week started off with A Place To Bury Strangers announced to play Laneway Festival and a Wellington sideshow. Jeff The Brotherhood's long rumoured summer tour was confirmed, they will play four North Island dates in January. New York pop-horror duo Gatekeeper announced a one-off Wellington show later this month and vying for our most 'liked' news post ever is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis who were announced to play Auckland and Wellington in February.

Also on the site this week we have been streaming the excellent new album from Seth Frightening out officially tomorrow.  We spoke to Steve Kilbey from The Church ahead of their show next month with Devo and Simple Minds,  Smoke DZA ahead of his tour this week and we put some questions to the founder of Carpark Records Todd Hyman who has a history of picking up kiwi talent, recently signing Popstrangers for their long awaited debut album Antipodes out next year.

Caught live this week we have soon to be touring artists The Dirty Projectors performing 'About To Die' from their new album on Letterman and Laneway Festival 2013 attendees Divine Fits covering '53rd & 3rd' by The Ramones with the help of Bradford Cox (Deerhunter/Atlas Sound) - enjoy!
