Woods and Hunx and His Punx Announce NZ Shows

Brooklyn-based ethereal alt-rockers Woods and San Franciscan purveyors of kook Hunx and His Punx have announced New Zealand dates for January 2013. Hunx and His Punx released their latest album, Hairdresser Blues earlier this year while Woods tour on the back of their 2012 release (and eighth studio album), Bend Beyond.

Woods’ Jeremy Earle is known best for his strikingly pure falsetto voice. Since gaining widespread critical acclaim in 2009, Woods have escaped their previously haunting acoustic albums, instead combining deceptively sturdy melodies with off-kilter energy.
Hunx and His Punx is the brainchild of San Franciscan performer/personality Hunx, aka Seth Bogart. They are the first ever "girl group" fronted by a flamboyant gay male whose dream in life is to sound like a girl. known for their live show antics, candour and occasional nudity. Hunx And His Punx serve up equal helpings of 60s girl group, bubblegum pop, new wave and combine it all with the hallmarks of the Bay Area garage rock in which Seth emerged from.
