Video: Digits - Street Violence

The concept album is a maligned genre, often associated with lengthy records replete with meandering tracks that can't support themselves as singles. Then there are those that have a concise theme supported by a thoughtfully chosen playlist, any 'concept' simply elevating the impact of already-great music. Enter Alt Altman (a pseudonym, we're sure) A.K.A Digits, a Toronto-based musician who spent 2012 writing a soundtrack to a hypothetical film that combines zombies, Lord of the Flies and Escape from New York, and is set in a futuristic dystopia. Casual. He's just released the video for the track 'Street Violence', and this should give you a pretty good idea of where his head was at for this project. Check it out below.
