RIP Storm Thorgerson

RIP Storm Thorgerson

Friday 19th April, 2013 10:42AM

British visual artist Storm Thorgerson has passed away aged 69 after a long battle with cancer. While his name may not be familiar, Thorgerson is responsible for some of the world's most iconic album covers including: Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Division Bell; Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy; The Mars Volta's Frances The Mute; The Cranberries' Bury The Hatchet and Wake Up and Smell The Coffee; and many more.

He was, and no doubt will continue to be, an incredibly inspiring figure who we were lucky enough to see speak in 2010 when he was here for Semi-Perminent.
