RIP Ray Manzarek of The Doors

Ray Manzarek, keyboardist and founding member of The Doors, has passed away from cancer aged 74. Manzarek formed The Doors with Jim Morrison in 1965 and helped pen many of the bands' hits. After The Doors Manzarek was involved in a number of music projects and also authored a couple of books including a Doors memoir -  Light My Fire: My Life with The Doors (1998) - and a novel exploring the urban legend that Jim Morrison may have faked his death titled The Poet in Exile (2001).
