English experimental rock band These New Puritans have already released two critically acclaimed albums: aggressive, electronic debut (complete with stand-out single 'Elvis') Beat Pyramid and subtler, diverse and more classically-inspired sophomore Hidden. The band have continued their exploration of the latter's territory with forthcoming third album Field of Reeds, which from our initial listen employs piano, string and horn sections for orchestral, cinematic effect that leaves one feeling stripped of externalities and focussed on said emotional impact.
