Listen: CHEATS - Peacock

CHEATS is the solo project of prolific Auckland based musician Lawrence Goodwin who also operates as Career Girls, is one-third of Caroles (whose new video we posted yesterday) and who first came to our attention with high school band Tied on Teeth. A guitar based outlet for Goodwin, vs his electronic based solo work as Career Girls, he self-released an impressive full length album Come Back Here! at the start of July and we've picked up second track 'Peacock' to stream. An intriguing mix of swampy post-punk and doo-wop - courtesy of guest vocalists from Pearl McGlasahan (Bandicoot) and Victoria Chelle - listen below and definitely check out the full album via his bandcamp.
