Album Preview: Sheep Dog & Wolf - Egospect
Sheep Dog & Wolf is the solo - introspective, even - project of multi-instrumentalist Daniel McBride, and at the tender age of nineteen he has already achieved quite a lot; The Guardian even called him "a young Sufjan Stevens", upon the release of his 2011 EP Ablutophobia. That's probably because he marries incredibly complex sonic craftsmanship to honest (and at times universal) lyrical themes to evoke a comfort and familiarity. McBride will release his debut album - one that he wrote and produced himself while studying composition at Victoria University in Wellington - Egospect, this Friday on Lil Chief Records, and you can listen to it, in full, below.
