Tuesday 3rd December, 2013 1:22PM

By the end of 1970 Neil Young was becoming the solo artist we know him as today; in July of that year Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young had broken up, and in August he had released his critically acclaimed third studio album, After the Gold Rush. On the back of those events, Young booked two nights in at Carnegie Hall in New York for December 1970, and decided to rehearse for those at the Cellar Door where he played - and recorded - six gigs.

Live at the Cellar Door is a compilation of these acoustic performances and is due out on December 10th. The set includes singles from After the Gold Rush as well as forthcoming work, and you can listen to the whole thing, below.
