“Slow, silky and menacing, with twists of eccentricity, his debut is a finely constructed mood piece – say it ties the room together.” – Rolling Stone on Trap Lord

“Through 13 tracks, he (Ferg) soundtracks the type of night you imagine the Mob has when they’re back home in New York—filled with bountiful amounts of sex, drugs, money and nondescript, boastful fuckery. If there’s one thing Ferg knows how to do, it’s get you in the mood to rage.” – XXL Magazine

Robin Fernando is proud to present two shows in New Zealand of one of A$AP Mob’s most prominent members the Trap Lord himself, A$AP Ferg.

This will be the Harlem-bred wordsmith’s first trip to New Zealand, giving hip-hop fans the chance to catch hits from his debut studio album Trap Lord, which hit the Top 10 of the US Billboard 200.

Ferg has risen to soaring heights this year with his hits ‘Work REMIX’ and ‘Shabba.’ His latest single ‘Shabba REMIX’ features the legendary Shabba Ranks himself, Migos & Busta Rhymes. The energetic single bursts with bottom-heavy bass and skittering drums energy. Trap Lord as a whole reflects an incredibly successful year for Ferg, as he draws up hip-hop’s colourful past to blend it with a collection of sonic influences from his hometown.

“Trap Lord is an underground rap album for listeners reared on a decade of 808s and melodic variations of John Carpenter’s “Halloween” melody. It’s the sound of old New York gracefully mixing with the new New York. And it’s really good, basically.” — hip-hop website,

Picking up the title of BET’s Rookie of the Year for 2013, Ferg’s winning streak doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Catch his electric live show infused with deliciously dark beats from his year in the spotlight. New Zealand is ready for a serious hit of one of rap’s hottest players, don’t miss your opportunity to see Brooklyn’s Trap Lord in 2014.
