Listen: Friendly Fires and The Asphodells - 'Before Your Eyes'

British indietronica trio Friendly Fires have banded with The Asphodells, aka Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay, to unleash new track 'Before Your Eyes'. The song is the first output from the Friendly Fires since they released their sophomore album Pala in 2011. The Asphodells have been active more recently, they put out their debut album Ruled By Passion Destroyed By Lust in 2013.

Sometime last year, over couple of beers in an east London pub, the two groups decided to collaborate on a release that was outside of their own respective musical styles. The Friendly Fires have previously said they have no interest in repeating the sound on Pala, and are heading for something "a bit more psychedelic". The hypnotic 'Before Your Eyes', which stretches out to eight-minutes, is a teaser track from the two groups, who are releasing the single along with another song titled 'Velo' on 12" at the end of the month. The record will be the inaugural release from Friendly Fires own label, Telophase.  Have a listen below...
