Video: Kim Deal - The Root
Former Pixies member Kim Deal has shared a song from her fourth installment in a series of 7" singles of solo recordings. Kim, who still plays with 1990s alternative band The Breeders, has steadily been releasing the singles since early last year, which are available for purchase through her website. Her latest 7" offering is a collaboration with Morgan Nagler (Whispertown) and includes killer new cut 'The Root'. The track is stripped back to its grungy bare bones with its lo-fi drums and guitar that sound like they were literally recorded in a garage. It's paired with an apt video that stars Kim face-to-face with a parking lot security camera. 'The Root' will be backed by 'Range On Castle' for the vinyl release, due out on April 1st.
