Listen: Slint - Pam

Original post-rockers Slint are sharing an outtake from their 1991 album Spiderland, which was awarded "ten fucking stars" by Steve Albini following it's initial release. The influential Louisville band, which has reunited several times since breaking up in 1992, have played the song live, but the five-minute track 'Pam' has not yet been released on an album. It is one of 14 previously unreleased songs that will feature on a deluxe box set reissue of Spiderland, coming out on April 15 through Tough and Go Records. Apparently three versions of 'Pam' will appear on the release, including one with vocals, but the "rough mix" on offer today is an instrumental version with blistering drums and ripping riffs.
