The Phoenix Foundation Announce Nationwide EP Release Tour

Wellington group The Phoenix Foundation is hitting the road for a seven-date tour to celebrate the release of their new EP Tom's Lunch. The EP follows the fantastic 2013 double album Fandango and marks a change of direction for the group with new drummer Chris O’Connor. Tom's Lunch encompasses a series of snappy tracks, two of which were mixed by David Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Tame Impala) and will be released on May 16, then the band will be on the road. The Phoenix Foundation – ‘Tom’s Lunch’ EP and Release Tour

The Phoenix Foundation have wasted no time moving on to new recordings after the release of 2013’s Fandango. Luke Buda felt a sense of urgency to get to work with the band’s new drummer, Chris O’Connor and to push themselves into new directions.

Fandango was the end of era, the full stop on the bands journey to find pristine production perfecto-land. Tom’s Lunch is the start of a new chapter and what better way to follow up a double album of mystical pop than with an EP of short snappy tracks, featuring two tracks mixed by David Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Tame Impala).

Tom’s Lunch EP will be released on 16 May on CD and Digital formats, Pre-Orders Start today from Itunes, JBHIFI and direct from bandcamp.

In celebration of their upcoming release of their brand-new EP ‘Tom’s Lunch’, The Phoenix Foundation announces a six-stop New Zealand tour this May/June presented by UnderTheRadar.
