The Bats Reissue Early Material On Vinyl
Iconic band The Bats are reissuing a series of LPs from their back catalogue on May 27th as part of the Flying Nun's partnership with New York-based indie label Captured Tracks. Included in the re-releases will be Compiletely Bats, a collection of first EPs and demos from the Christchurch band that was originally released in 1987 on cassette, and will now become available on a 2xLP set. Also coming out on vinyl will be the group's debut album Daddy's Highway (1987) and their sophomore album The Law of Things (1988), which will also see a new life as a 2xLP complete with outtakes and other tracks from the era.
On top of the vinyl recuts, the three albums (and extras) will also be collected on a three CD set entitled The Bats: Volume 1 - indicating that there will likely be more to follow. Pre-orders for the albums are already open through Captured Tracks and Flying Out.
