Video: Delaney Davidson - Rise and Shine (UTR Premiere)

Monday 7th July, 2014 9:39AM

After unveiling the excellent video for 'Big Ugly Fish' earlier this year, country man Delaney Davidson is now premiering another narrative clip for his latest album Swim Down Low, which is out now through Outside Inside Records. The cinematic offering for 'Rise and Shine' was apparently born from a two year argument between Director Justin Heaney and Davidson, who plays a world weary sailor on shore leave. Filmed in Antonio House, an abandoned orphanage in ruined Christchurch, the story has been stripped back to a series of grainy images telling the tale of a jaded sea dog, which is possibly a reflection on real life as Davidson is currently on an odyssean 54 date European tour - having been on the road since April.  And when he's done there he will be traveling to the States to touring and work on some new music with various artists. However, he is due back in home in November, when he is tipped to play a series of shows around the country. Watch his new video below...
