The tour news this week sees even more incredible shows added to the already stacked new year. Seattle native Perfume Genius announced two New Zealand shows for March. Also in March, American roots musician Pokey LaFarge will be returning to these shores for six performances with an extended band. And that same month sees Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus coming to New Zealand with his band The Jicks. Power metal outfit DragonForce are heading over in February for three shows around the country. And King Missile have extended their already announced tour to include two South Island shows.


In release news, Wellington pixel-art-synth-wave duo Gamer have unleashed a new 10-track EP titled Moon Base Europa, which will hopefully have videos to follow. Also from the capital city, Voe unveiled first (and possibly last) album Paradise. The folks at End Of The Alphabet Records have revealed new performance album Live At The Pyramid Club from experimental-noise supergroup FANZ. Memphis punks Ex-Cult shared second single 'Meda House Company' from forthcoming EP Cigarette Machine coming out soon via Castle Face. And Death Grips let loose 'Inanimate Sensation' from the upcoming jenny death, half of a double album from the defunct group.
