Independent record label Muzai, which was formed in Auckland around 2009 and is now operating out of the United Kingdom, is releasing documentary Last Exit To Muzai for viewing via YouTube. The film was directed by Shane Warbrooke (The Bemsha Swing), and utilises footage captured at the label's fifth anniversary party at Whammy Bar in Auckland last May. Footage from the show, which featured performances from label signees All Seeing Hand, The Sunken Seas and god bows to math, is intercut with interviews with label founder Benji Jackson, who provides interesting vignettes on the label's early days and development.
